apparently at the moment it looks as if Brantford is the team to beat, they've now played and beat almost all of the top teams so far.

It's not that they have just won a few games,it's that they have played very well all season & the wins are just starting to come. Did you happen to see the Cambridge effort against the 6th place team on Friday. Only thing that gained them victory was Lobsinger. To me that is not "the team" to beat . But Ok they are in 1st place. Oh and last year so was Kitchener.

Kitchener finished in a first place tie last year with Stratford but was awarded 1st by h to h play. Stratford and Cambridge were the hottest teams from Nov. thru the balance of the season. Brantford is hot right now and hopefully they don't blow their wad to soon and fall off the rest of the season. They have hired a quality staff and have assembled a solid team. By far this season the best signings thus far.

Cambridge better start playing like they were at the begining of the year or they are going to be in trouble. Bignell better shape up their D too.

Brantford beat Cambridge and played well. Cambridge had some key players out and will get better when they get back in the line-up. They also lost their leading goal scorer early in that game. I didn't think Brantford could skate with Cambridge and Cambridge was on the comeback before a an erraant give-away gave up an easy goal. I would still put my money on Hawks but its early with many games to play.

The Hawks can't beat Elmira. It is way too close this year to call for anyone to be in the drivers seat. Look at the standings, the loss column is very close from 8th on up. There is not a team that can be counted out.

I agree with Midwest fan. It will be close. Goaltending and injuries will become the issues on who finishs where.

Talking about comebacks im pretty sure earlier in the season cambridge was beating brantford going into the third 6-1 and only beat brant 6-5 wouldnt you consider that a come back?

I disagree, I think with all the talent that brantford has brought in and there players from last year playing like they are, I dont think cambridge can skate with Brantford. You gotta remember that the reason why cambridge had some jump in the third is b/c it was brantford 3 game in three nights, they were tired. In my eyes brantford looks like a great hockey team that is only going to get better. Can't wait how the year turns out. ;D

I'd have to say that the Owen Sound-Saugeen Shores Greys are the team to beat. Sure, they don't have the "record" that some of the top teams do, and won't finish as "high" as other teams "ahead" of them, but mark my word, they will win the league this year. ;D

Hey Grant, tone down the quotations a bit would yah. From what i've seen this year, the league is up in the air again. Could be anyones game. look for big pick ups at the trade deadline tell the story

Here is how I can see it panning out
Elmira Cambridge Stratford Brantford (no particular order for these teams)
Owen Sound Listowel Guelph Kitchener
Waterloo O-Ville on the outside looking in.

Elmira has the most complete team right now and should have no problem making it to the finals. As long as Sherrer stays sharp and swartzy hits the net every now and then, they'll be solid contenders.

Dominate win last night, ANOTHER dominate win I should say. Tonight in Elmira will show more though. If Brantford can win again tonight, it will prove that they are the team to beat this year.

Yeah Brantford is definately not the team to beat. Teams will have a hot month...Too bad Brantfords hot month is so early in the season. And as for dominating, the only teams that they have "dominated" is Kitchener and Orangeville..and look where they are...the bottom of the league. Dont get too high and mighty about yourself Brantford. Sure you have beat some of the top teams in the league...but pretty much any team can beat anyone on any given night. You guys are trying to steal the spotlight...but then again you guys are good at stealing things...

hey Brantford Who...guess we stole 2 pts from Cambridge tonight...has their A lineup in and we were missing Fullerton and Johnston, our leading scorer...end result 43-25 shots on goal,21 in 1st...shut down their pp and got the GW short handed not to mention dominating the game and have head coach blow a gasket at the end...beauty. ;D
