With Mark Crawford gone next year, any suggestions as to who would make a good Captain for the Cullies of the returning players? Does anyone know who is returning?

Herr hahahahahahahaha.......yes he's a true leader.
Seriously tho i'd say probably Buck #9. He's more of a team player than Parly, if Parly is even returning? Ya, I'd say Buck for sure.

Cute doesnt make a good Captain. Bucks the best all round team player, seems to be leader material. Very protective of his "friends."

eckys + - must be embaraseing - - who is the constant denominator when the power play for the Cullies turns into a 2 on 0 for the oppositon. good offencive player but defensively he is a disaster. Pick a leader that can play both ways - and what about the 4 penaltys the other nite , wearing the a with no leadership and complaining to the ref isn`t what this team needs. his lack of leadership is part of the problem

Eck sure has gone downhill since the beginning of the year. Hopefully he regains for playoffs.

# 6 is the worse defensive defenseman l have seen, has potential to carry the puck but must know when to do so, shouldn't be playing late in a game if his team has a lead, doesn't matter how many mistakes he makes he still gets plenty of ice

I think Buck'd make a good captain coming off of his rookie of the year nomination and finishing the regular season with second highest points on his team. After McParland's newspaper article calling down his best friend and coach, who'd make him Captain?

I agree with above post, what are you on? Broome is not a role model. The captain needs to be someone who gives 110% all the time. I don't see eckinswiller as captain either even though he wears an A.

buck has no leadership skills, never spends time with the guys outside of practice, never speaks up etc. great hockey player yes...but not a good leader.

How can Buck speak up when he's a Rookie. I'm sure the vets would love it if Buck took a stand and spoke his mind in the dressing room. Who would support him as a rookie? Has anyone really asked him why he doesn't spend time with the team after practices? He's still one of the top players in Stratford and needs to have support....

True if you knew how I've heard the Cullitons are in the dressing room then you would understand why not only Buck but none of the rookies speak up. All of the vets have massive heads on the ice and in town. If you ask me none of them should even talk because i think the rookies on the team are better than the veteran players. Eckenswiller has the biggest head I've ever seen in my life. Butter those doors 6

If a Rookie spoke up or tried to take a leadership role on a veteran hockey team they'd eat him alive and spit him out. A smart rookie opens his ears, opens his eyes, and shuts his mouth. He listens, watches, and learns which is likely what Buck is doing. A smart rookie does not take sides and get involved in the pettiness, bickering, and finger pointing that goes on when a team is struggling. And yes I agree, he is a great hockey player. He already leads by example.

As a rookie he isn't going to say much. Buck is also one of the few Cullites who attends school this year. I've heard he's smart and he's been approached about future scholies too so I'm sure he focuses on school and his marks. Not saying all Cullies are party animals and girl chasers but some of them are seen at parties and bars around town a fair bit. Buck is not one of them. He's serious about his hockey and school and has a gf. He's an awesome player and he'd make a great captain next year.

I would be surprised if Broome will be there next year. They need to upgrade the talent and the leadership on the team.

top 5 forwards when healthy, he won't be replaced because if he is the cullitons are either going to walk away with a suthy and not lose a game all year or dennis will finally be fired for being too f**king stupid to run an organization...thanks for the pitchers tho dennis!
