Stratford has a tonne of new players, but Flanagan and Co. always seem to be on top no matter what...
Will their lack of experience haunt them throughout the season?
Can their speed make up for their lack of size?
Will they finish outside the Top 3 for the first time in club history?

I think the Cullitons learned a valuable lesson about not buring themselves out down the stretch last season.

Stratford is waiting for that one key offensive element that will propel them to the top of the league again... one word on the street is it's Dalpe, an '89 out of Paris. If that's the case it's a big price to pay for an import/underage kid who has to do a lot of growing to do to compete in the league. Stratford does need help to put the puck in the net but they had better look to the net and find a quality stopper to carry this team until they find their legs.

you are honestly off your rocker buddy, dalpe is a 5'7 120 pound waste of ice time, he's not good, i don't know who your trying to kid and how bout a solid d-man or 2 before you start looking for a goalie or more offense(which they don't need)

Just curious ..... does anybody ever remember Stratford getting their " ass " kicked so badly by another team ( LISTOWEL 7 - 2 win ) so early in the season and still end up being a Cherry Cup contender? I wonder is this a sign of what to expect this year. I do realize it is still early in the season and a loss is a loss regardless of the score but I can't remember them being outscored that badly ..... anyone remember?

Stratford's 7-2 loss wasn't really a 7-2 game. They could have easily scored three or four goals if Listowel's netminder hadn't played so well. Not to take anything away from Listowel, but Stratford had a ton of chances.

When it is all said and done the Cullies will be a force to be reckoned with before the Cherrey Cup is handed over for 2005-06.

cullies are a joke there defence is terrible..(ie morgan bean among others) forwards are small but quick...and goaltending is iffy at times...but its the cullitons look for them to get rid of half the team by christmas and bring in more imports

Yo Guys gotta be kidding me the cullitons are 3-1 to start the year and i'm not sure if they have to find to many ppl to put the puck in the net look at Brendan Haber and Ben Warda and you can't forget Jordan Lang they got good offence the goaltending is solid and the defence will come around i say a 3rd place finishe this year

Rumour on the street is a new player out of Kitchener will be in Stratford. Is it true??

The rumour has it that 16 Year Old Tyler Taylor has been skating with the team and they have had trouble getting him a release from Kitchener and if he is not able to play they will probably sign local 16 Year Old Ryan Murphy who has good hands is solid on his feet and is a tough kid all around but if Taylor can get his release u will likely see him in the lineup Friday when they play the Dutcheman

How come Taylor is on the ice with Stratford and not Kitchener. What is the story?

Taylor's release shouldn't be a problem.
The reason he is available is b/c the OHL's Generals has their quota of 16 year olds so they couldn't keep him and all the Jr. B teams in the Kitchener area also have all the max number of 16s on their roster.
His release has been cleared with Kitchener minor hockey and now he just has to be released by the Dutchmen.
Don McArthur, Stratford's president, sounded confident is was a done deal on the radio Friday night.

Glad to hear he should be cleared to play. He should be a good addition to the line-up. He was the 4th round pick for Oshawa and I understand they wanted to keep him but already had three 16's signed.
Any idea when he will be able to play??

Is it just me or are the cullitons stupid for bringing in more forwards and no defense?

Remember Taylor is a rookie and won't contribute a lot this year. He is a hard working kid but he is only a kid. He will be lucky to score 10

Torquato was a rookie last year and, if I can remember correctly, did OK.

Taylor is a good hockey player and will contribute very well to an already impressive team and u don't need that good of defence if you got guys who can put the puck in the net and goalies who can stop it and yah i think torquato had 75 points last year so i say taylor will do fine probably net a good amout 15 or so

Has anyone seen Taylor practice with the Cullitons yet?? What line is he on? who else is on the same line? Stratford is a fast team that plays an aggressive bang and crash style and Taylor should fit in well. I don't think he can put the points up like Torquato did last year but apparently he has a good shot and will add some toughness to the team. Will be interesting if he plays against the Dutchmen this weekend.

Is it just me or are the cullitons stupid for bringing in more forwards and no defense? As the old saying goes, the best defence is a good offence.

OK the cullitons are doing fine and for the person who wants to know where taylor is playing he is going to be joining stratfords 3rd line intime for friday nights game against kitchener a great team for him to net his first jr b goal against it'll make them think twice about not releasing a 16 year old to make room for him .....

i don't like taylor style of play at all i have practiced and skated with him and he is not a good hockey player he will not produce the way the cullitons want him 2 and they would of been better off signing a local 16 year old then that garbage midget is where he should play
