Yesterdays Sun Times had a lengthy article about a recent game between the Greys and the Cyclones where the Attack coach was less than impressed with OHA refereeing. He says it may imp[act using Jr B players as APs because of the stuff thay are allowed to get away with. I have seen a few Mid-West games this year and this author tends to agree that there is still way too much stick work and interference.

Read the article. He laid into the Jr.b style of play pretty good. Not all teams are clutch and grabbers, but that had a lot to do with the Cyclones success in the playoffs.

I did read the article. So there! maybe you should improve your comprehension of what he was really saying! Read the article. He laid into the Jr.b style of play pretty good. Not all teams are clutch and grabbers, but that had a lot to do with the Cyclones success in the playoffs.

owen sound has a lot of nerve talking. the referee's all but tilt the ice surface away from their end for the visiting team.

The Orangeville Cambridge game this past friday was full of penalties. A lot of which should have been let go. The game was wide open with chances at both ends so all the whistle blowing did was slow the game down.

I haven't read the article but do agree that there is way too much interference & stick work going on. We should take the same approach as the OHL & NHL & allow the skill to dominate the game as it should. In last Sunday's game in Elmira vs. Cyclones the cluching, grabbing, hooking was dominant by both teams. The only problem with trying to call it the new way(which is really the old way) is that our referring is so inconsistent, I don't think it could realistically happen.

to poster Tie Domis left sock: The description of the article makes it clear that it is the attack that is complaining of the clutch and grab in this league and it makes it difficult to develop players when they have to deal with two sets of rules. It is an obvious point that makes sense: why would we want to play with a separate set of rules. refs who do both leagues will be expected to adjust but can they? As for referreeing in os, the oha assignes the refs and you need to get rid of your minor hockey attitude. Also change your name to "sucks Tie Domi's Left Nut". It fits better!
