Media coverage has always been difficult for this league for the most part due to the compitition from other leagues/sports. Most teams are lucky if they can get the local news to cover them at all on a regular basis. Teams like Stratford and Owen Sound are extremely fortunate to have radio coverage as well. The point is what can this league do as a whole to improve the image of Jr. B and get more ink? Should teams pay a fee to the league to promote league wide advertising or possibly hire a marketing firm to do this? Should things stay as they are with each team looking out for themselves? There is no denying a team's coverage rises as their position in the standings increase but could more be done to not only draw more fans but improve the image of this league?

i think the best way to get more media coverage is to become better and play in a good league where ppl more than just the players parents care about the league..

Regardless of media coverage, it would be nice to see them get updated with their stat system, such as the one used in Western Junior B. Pointstreak.com is used to record real time game information.

Nice to hear that 920am is suppose to be broadcasting the second and fourth games of the Hawk vs. Listy series. I think this will be the 1st for the Hawks this year.

Very quiet forum compared to the other two Jr. B forums. Check out Localsportsreport.com and select discussion forum and you'll see what I mean. Jr. B is big in the Niagara area. Many postings in one day and the rivalries between towns in that area are heated. Events like the Allstar games between the Western Jr. B and Golden Horshoe Jr. B should be checked out by the Midwest league. Some interest has to be generated before media coverage grows.
