# 13 for the Guelph Dominators was nailed on Wednesday nights game for a illegal stick. The 6"5 forward has a stick of about that sizeof 6"5 and was nailed for it against Waterloo. Should be interesting to see who else calls for this especially close to playoffs.

If your dimensions are correct that would make the stick 14 inches too long would it not. I thought 63 inches was max for a player stick. Have the rules reajusted or is sixty three the number? It makes a pretty short stick for tall players like #13.

He's stick is 69 inches and the ruling was 63. Therefore the stick was 6 inches too long.

he's huge and needs a big stick i don't see the problem. stupid rule i think Agreed, the length of the stick should be governed by the height of the individual player.

true, lots of guys are taller today and a 63 inch limit probably causes a lot of sore backs. Maybe the oha needs to review some of their size limit rules, like sticks and goalie pants. That would also give waterloo less to complain about.

kWhat goes around comes around. I seem to recall the Doms calling an illegal equipment penalty earlier in the season on the Eagles...for having an extra "A" in the lineup.

There is nothing wrong with what either team did.
I just wonder why Waterloo made the call near the end of the game when they were down 3-1. Why not do it at 1-0 or when the score was 1-1 to try and gain momentum.
The Doms did it at the beginning of their game. Unfortunately they were unable to score on the power play or the other six they had, and lost 1-0.

I agree that taller guys should be allowed a longer stick... the NHL made an exception for Chara. But to my knowledge, he's the only one they have done that for and he measures in at 6'9". Hal Gill who I believe is 6'5" does not receive an exception to the rule. Having said that, I don't know what the stick length rule is in the NHL.
