Hey tavi: Savoy's been gone for almost a month. Catch up buddy. Ohearn is improving every week & plays a good disciplined game. Obviously in your eyes, if a player doesn't "throw down", they are no good. Not the way I see it. I'd rather see good hockey & if I wanted to watch fighting, the ultimate fighter would be a good choice. You also missed Thompson, Skinner, & Ward. All quite tallented. Sounds like a pretty solid defence to me.

Dont overlook the rookies that Waterloo has put together. Welsh is an excellent forward, Lynch is by far the best rookie defenceman in the league and in the past month Colin Way has been very solid and put himself in top 5 in league goaltending. Next couple years look very promising for this team and spells danger for rest of league. Not sure but is Heffernan a rookie? If so he definitely should not be overlooked either. Lacey is solid as well.

First of all Lynch best D in the league...give me a break. Lacey has played junior for 3 years now...definatly not a rookie. Way is brutal just go upstairs...not even a contender for rookie of the year. And heffernan is speedy no pass...not a rookie and too selfish.

rookie watch...Don't overlook what Van Bommel is doing in Brantford. Neily is also producing playing on the 3rd line. These 2 guys are contributing huge for the Eagles.

Unknown buddy please know what u r talking about before posting. No way Lacey has played 3 yrs in junior dumb dumb. Last time i checked they dont let 14 yr olds play junior hockey. Lynch is by far best ROOKIE defenseman in the league watch a little bit and u will see this. As for Way i guess the players inthe league r not a sharp shooter like u because if it is so easy to score on him upstairs why arent they doing it? With GAA under 3 and save % over 900 they must be lowering cross bar when he is playing because they arent scoring on him like u say it is easy to do. But, as off as your comments r they r aprreciated thank u.

Manderson from guelph has more points than any of them and is playing on a sub par team in guelph. Hes leading the team in ice and he also came strait out of midget.

Agreed Manderson is a point sleeper, worse than a lawyer chasing an ambulance. Always hounding the ref for points even when he's just come onto the ice on a line change. Watch any Gue game and wait for the Phantom to strike.

Dupont and Mcclelland from Cambridge are the best two rookies at their positions. Give credit to the Winterhawk scouting staff for getting these boys down here!

Warda is a puck hog. But I must say when he is being hit, he always keeps the puck on his stick& he just slips right off of guys. He turns around, apparently he use to play inline @ a pretty high level

Paul Dupont hands down, 40 points, key player on the number one team in the league. Buck is a close second.

Scott Vanbommel is clearly, without question, the rookie of the year. Leads the league in GAA, leads the league in shutouts, and has one of the best, if not the best save% as well. He has won a player of the week award and has now received player of the month for December. No other rookie has put up those kind of numbers this season. No disrespect to the other rookies in the league but the Bommer has done the job.

vanbommel is a great goalie but look at the team infront of him...i believe the golden eagles are the strongest team in the league and should take over first in the league come seasons end...dupont is the same way..he's playing for a great winterhawk team and should be doing well with the number of losses not yet at 10...i believe the rookie of the year should be Buck from stratford..ive watched this kid all year and he's only getting better..he's playing for a weak culliton team and still has 40 points which is unbelieveable for any rookie especially on a weak team...dupont also has 2 games on buck so when the seasons over buck should be ahead....all great players but i believe buck should be rookie of the year...why is this kid not in the all star game? ?

buck is good but no one notices the amount of phantoms he gets. Just take a peak every once in awhile and you'll see number 9 getting an apple everytime.

probably just a culliton vet mad because they have a rookie leading there team in points, everyone gets phantom points leave the kid alone, ive also been out to watch some games and yes the team is struggling but he seems to be the only player that cares or looks to care out there, the kid is an excellant hockey player and has a very bright future, enough said

Buck from Stratford is easily the best all round Rookie out there - fast, smooth, great hands, a true playmaker, awesome offensively and defensively. He's a joy to watch. Plays the game the way it's meant to be played. It's a real shame the best all round Culliton and easily the top Rookie in the league didn't make the All Star team. Someone really dropped the ball on that one.

Blame the org. cause all players are nominated by respective teams.

The organization is definitely to blame, maybe it's political who knows. Whatever the reason the All Star Game isn't going to be the same without Buck. He's easily one of the top players in the league and I agree he's probably the best all round player on the Cullitons. He definitely would have made the game more interesting. Dupont of Cambridge is good, but he's playing on the number one team where it's easy to shine, he's got lots of help. Buck on the other hand has the real challenge of playing on a struggling team and yet somehow still manages to be amazing. Thats the difference. Definitely the leading contender for Rookie of the Year. His teamates should watch and learn from him.

who would nominate Warda from Stratford as a alternate, Mr minus 20. Buck deserves to be there from the games l've watched

Huston from the stratford cullitons has withdrawn from the all star game due to prior holiday committments. This was the organization's chance to correct their original mistake and add Brandon Buck to the All Star roster where he deserved to be. The kid is in the top nine players in the league for points and first on his team. Instead they made stupid mistake number two and pulled Warda from the reserves to fill the spot so Buck still isnt playing. Wardas a decent player but doesnt have near the raw talent and finesse of Buck.

Buck is a good hockey player but gets a lot of phantoms and any culliton vet or rookie will agree!
